What cameras do you use?
I shoot primarily with Canon gear.
Do you shoot digital, film or both?
Digital mostly with film only upon request.
Do you shoot RAW or JPEG at our wedding?
I always shoot RAW so I can produce the highest quality photographs to my clients.
What percentage of B&W to color photos will we get?
Mostly you will receive color, with a few artistic exceptions in B&W.
Do you edit and enhance the photos before giving us your work on DVD?
All my images are artistically valued and edited for the best quality. Therefore, you always receive work that I am very proud to show whether you just order individual prints or a DVD.
Do you offer online proofing and how long will my photos be online?
Yes. Your photos will be online for a minimum of 3 months after your viewing, with extensions available only upon request.
How many photographers will come?
I usually photograph solo. I am always strapped with two cameras on my body and I come very prepared since I can scout the wedding venues for best coverage. However that said, I sometimes bring an assistant if I need be for logistical reasons or will bring along a second photographer if your budget allows for this extra person or you have a huge wedding.
How many shots can we expect to see?
Depending on the wedding, the average wedding preview yields around 350 to 800 images. You can then narrow your final favorites that are included with the collection you purchased.
Is there an engagement session included with your packages?
Yes. Although each collection is different, they all have an engagement session as part of my photography services.
What’s included in an engagement session?
Depending on your session type, it takes one to three hours (on location or in studio) and comes with a full archive of your favorite images on a DVD slideshow. Any additional custom prints or a digital file purchase is a la carte.
How long does it take to receive our DVD slideshow with our favorite images?
Typically it take 3 weeks to produce your DVD slideshow, unless there was a holiday like Christmas or New Years which could delay all orders. Then it would take up to 6 weeks to receive your copy.
Do you back up and archive your digital photographs?
Absolutely. Everything is backed up onsite with mini hard drives on my person when I am photographing. I also back up these images off-site in additional hard drives after I back up your files at my studio. A minimum of 3 hard drive copies are maintained for each project.
When can we expect to see our photos?
Your scheduled preview is in about 8-10 weeks from the date of your wedding. For engagement sessions, we’ll schedule a preview so you can come in within 7 days from your photo shoot.
Will we get to keep the negatives?
Unlike, film. There are no negatives with digital photography. Only positive digital images that are in RAW file format. Once I process my RAW images you can then order a customized DVD with these hi-resolution images in JPG format. However, the amount of file images that you receive depends on your wedding collection.
When will we get them and how will they be presented?
Digital files are presented to you via FTP within 6 months from your wedding day or after delivery of your album, unless otherwise arranged. Film scanned negatives are also delivered through FTP as high resolution files.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Absolutely! They make the perfect gift for any occasion and my customers prefer to give their friends and family a gift certificate they know will appreciate more than a gift card to a store they do not go to. Remember the idea is what matters most and everyone loves good photos and great memories of themselves.
